Java SE 6 error, Yosemite, and FileMaker

Upgrading to Yosemite will require some planning if you want it to go smoothly.  Here’s one problem identified by FileMaker so far, and links to other articles to help ease the transition:

OS X 10.10, referred to as Yosemite, was released by Apple in October 2014.  You can learn more about Yosemite compatibility with FileMaker products below:

FileMaker, Inc has identified an issue when launching FileMaker products, for example FileMaker Pro Advanced 13, using Yosemite where you may receive the following error message:

To open “FileMaker Pro Advanced” you need to install the legacy Java SE 6 runtime.  Click “More Info…” to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website. Click “more Info…” to visit the legacy Java SE 6 download website.
