We’re Launching an Online School for FileMaker Pro

We have a lot going on in the Kurpe household. In addition to the release of my first book, and the rebranding of our consulting firm from Proponent to Grasp, I am proud to announce that Grasp Learning, our online school for FileMaker Pro, will be launched this summer!

An Online School for FileMaker Pro

Kevin and I invite you to join us as we celebrate the launch of our newest business, Grasp Learning.

Grasp Learning is an online school for FileMaker Pro, a database language that Kevin has used to develop custom software for nearly 15 years. During that time, Kevin has become an expert FileMaker developer and trainer, and wants to share his knowledge to help others become skilled database developers.

Learn How to Become a FileMaker Developer

Kevin will use presentation software, screen sharing, and other technologies to create FileMaker how-to videos and tutorials. He will also create learning resources, like examples files, downloadable code, cheat sheets and do-it-yourself activities, which will accompany each video. There is also a community forum where students can ask questions and get answers.

The idea is that students will watch an explanation and/or demonstration from Kevin, and then actively apply what they’ve learned. If student’s get stuck, they have an active community of other students who can help them along the way.

I like to think of it as a Montessori school for professional development and career education – students have access to guided instruction and helpful resources, but they have the flexibility to work at their own pace.
